Ruth L. Stauffer

Ruth L. Stauffer, 75, of Ashland, died Sunday, January 1, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born June 23, 1947 in Connellsville, PA to James and Anna Mae {Workman} Silbaugh.

She is survived by her husband, William Stauffer, whom she married on August 1, 1970.  

Ruth earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Fairmont State College. She retired from Ashland City Schools after 31 years of teaching Physical Education. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, traveling to many different places, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ruth will be deeply missed by her husband; children Kathy J. (Mark) Vogt of Pacific, MO and Michele L. (Michael) Campbell of Ashland; grandchildren Corbyn Browne, Austin Browne, Joseph Quinn, Aly Vogt, and Nathan Vogt; great-grandchildren Gracelynne, Kayden, Ryleigh, and Amariyah, and long time friend Denice Tobolski.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Ivan Hoover, and brother James A. Silbaugh.
