Sabina C. Shoyat, 88, of Wadsworth, died Sunday April 19, 2015 at The Briarwood Healthcare System, in Stow.
Sabina was born January 4, 1927 in Barberton, Ohio to Frank and Katherine {Bosanas} Gazaffi.
She married Steve F. Shoyat on February 15, 1947. He died July 21, 1994.
She worked for Wadsworth Rittman Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1989. She was a member of Sacred Heart in Wadsworth. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to the casino. She also enjoyed crocheting and making crafts.
Sabina will be deeply missed by her children Frank Shoyat of Wadsworth, Susan Denmire of Akron, Michael (Terri) Shoyat of Kingman, AZ; daughter-in-law Sue Shoyat of MN; grandchildren Scott (Brandi) Shoyat, Stacey (Tim) Jenson, Amber (Melvin) Alicea; 10 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephew.
Sabina was preceded in death by her son Steve Shoyat, brother Frank Gazaffi, sisters Marian Simone, Eva Gentile, Dorothy Magyar, Katheryn Catrane.
Friends may call Friday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Mike Ausperk officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
