Shanette Koch

Shanette E Koch, 80, died September 14, 2023, at Accord Care, Orrville, Ohio.

Shanette was born October 12, 1940, in Millersburg, Ohio to Franklin and Verna {Hawkins} Day. She graduated from Millersburg High School and attended OSU at Wooster for two years.

She married Ronald Koch on October 20, 1972.  They loved going to jazz concerts at the College of Wooster and spending time together.

Shanette sold shoes at Freelander’s in Wooster for years and also worked at the OSU Wooster branch bookstore for several years.

Shan was an avid pet lover and especially loved cats.  She had rescued several cats throughout her life.

She enjoyed making gift baskets for friends and relatives to celebrate special life-occasions.

Shanette will be deeply missed by her cousin Gloria Kettlewell, of Gnadenhutten, and her family.

Shanette was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her parents Frank and Verna Day as well as two young sisters, Sherinel Ruth and Tamara Elaine.

Friends and family may join together Wednesday September 27 at 12:30 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster for a memorial service with Pastor Randy Moomaw officiating.
