Sheila Louise Emler, 64, of Howard, Ohio, passed away March 8th, 2024, in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Sheila was born October 19th, 1959, in Galion, Ohio, to the late Albert and Martha {Hadsell} Holderness.
She attended Mount Vernon Academy as well as Galion High School.
She married her high school sweetheart Brian A. Emler on June 8th, 1980, at the Mount Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Hill church where she was also a member.
She worked for the Adventist Book Center as an accounts payable clerk until she chose to take time away to raise her family as a wonderful stay-at-home mother. Later she returned to work for Mount Vernon Academy in the Developmental Office.
Sheila loved gardening and being outside with her two dogs, Pookie and Cooper. She always loved creating and making things for others such as crochet and knit gifts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and she was the most amazing GiGi, filling their lives with caring, kindness, and selfless love. She was the greatest blessing to our family. We love you forever and ever and ever…
Sheila will be deeply missed by her husband, Brian Emler; her two children, Samantha (Jeremy) Walls and Brice (Bre) Emler; grandchildren Maylee and Vivian Walls, Braxton Emler and another granddaughter on the way. She is also survived by her best friend Jenny Franz and brother Aaron (Paula) Holderness, brother and sister-in-law Tim (Kathy) Emler, brother-in-law Keith (widower of the late Sallie Wilson) as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services held as per Sheila’s wishes.
