Shirley J. Fritts

Shirley J. Fritts, 85, of Polk, died Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born April 5, 1937 in Antioch TN to JP and Ruth {Robinson} Vernon.

She married Hugh L. Fritts on October 31. He died in 1988.

She worked as an in home health aide for many years before taking care her family. Shirley was a member of the Broadview Heights Church of Christ.

She always enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.

Shirley will be deeply missed by her children Darlene Wells, Debra Slepko, and James Fritts; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren;1 sister.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children Dianna Dodson, Jeffery Fritts, and Denise Crum; and sister Ruth Harter.

Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland.  Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
