Shirley Rickett

Shirley Louise Rickett, 81, of Sullivan, went to be with the Lord, Saturday January 27, 2018 at Crystal Care, in Ashland.

Shirley was born July 1, 1936 in Ashland, Ohio to Donald and Charlotte {Sloan} Poff.

She was a graduate of Ashland High School, and Columbus Business School and attended Ashland College.

She married G. Franklin Rickett in 1962.

Shirley worked for many years in the business office of Ashland College, then worked as a teaching assistant at Dale-Roy School.  She also was a full time homemaker and Mom. She always put her family first, and rarely missed an event that they participated in.  Shirley served as an officer with Gideons International Auxiliary.  She also was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Shirley will be deeply missed by her husband; children Louise (Tom) Goldsmith, Laura (Ron) Mosher, Lynnette Davis, and Clint (Nicole) Rickett; grandchildren Matt Goldsmith, Christine Goldsmith, Daniel Mosher, Brandon Mosher, Megan Mosher, Chris Davis, Michaela Davis, Ella Rickett, Lauren Rickett, and Mckenna Rickett; sister Sandy White; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; sister Carol Ann Poff; and son in law Mike Davis.

A Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Ashland Dickey Church of the Brethren 1509 Township Road 655 Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Pastor Tom Zuercher officiating.  Burial will be private at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International P.O.
