Shirley Ann Watson

Shirley Ann Watson, 77, of Ashland, died January 5, 2025 at UH Samaritan Medical Center, in Ashland.

Shirley was born March 6, 1947 in Ashland to Mr. Anderson and Doris {Shafer} McFadden. She was raised by her foster parents Tim and Nellie Samples. After graduating from Ashland high school in 1965, Shirley worked for Ashland University as a secretary for the dean of the Men’s office for many years and Erma’s Auto Sales. She married Anthony Watson on December 27, 1968. Together they raised two children

In her younger years Shirley enjoyed bowling, cooking and canning. She was an immaculate housekeeper and devoted herself to her family.

Shirley will be deeply missed by her husband Anthony; children Brian Watson, and Renee Watson; grandchildren Alexia and Colt Watson; brothers Jack (Sandy) Anderson, and Steve (Kathy) Leary; and sisters Sheryl Shue, Barbara (Jim) Bauchmann, Diana Allen, and Linda (Earnest) Pospisil as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents.
