Shirley Wheeler

Shirley Ann Wheeler, 78, of Reno, went to be with her son, husband and other lost loved ones Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Shirley was born July 16, 1939 to Earl and Audrey Hill.
She graduated from Newport High School in 1957.
On October 10, 1964 she married Larry G. Wheeler. They were married 47 years until his death. Prior to getting married, Shirley enjoyed being a waitress. She loved game shows, cooking, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Shirley and Larry had one son, Todd (Debra) Wheeler; stepson Larry (Roxanne) Wheeler Jr., and a nephew Michael (Kris) Hill who was raised in her home. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren Shawn Wheeler, Jennifer (Jonny) Salyer, Perry (Lauren) Wheeler, Jason (Rebecca) Wheeler, Shannon (Derek) McGlumphy, Heath and Holly Hill; 10 great grandchildren Kennedy, Kase, Kane, Jade, Kelsi, Kalei, Abbey, Cayden Cash and Colbie.
Shirley is also survived by brothers Ronald (Charlene) Hill, Teddy Hill; sister Cathy (Glen) Daugherty; in-laws Bonnie Hill, Alfred (Kay) Mugrage, Patricia Wheeler, Richard Snodgrass and Garnie Hill. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry in 2012 and her son Todd in 2016; brothers Jimmy, Max Rex and Larry Hill; sisters Sharon Strickler and Judy Snodgrass; half brothers Lowell and Kenneth Hill; half sisters Irene Miller, Delores Grub, Thera Miller, Beulah Patterson and Phyllis Ullman.
Friends may call Thursday, October 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Thibault officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
