Stanley E. Bettinger

Stanley E. Bettinger Sr., 80, of Marietta, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Stanley was born January 28, 1942 in Caldwell, Ohio to Elmer and Mabel Bettinger.

He graduated from Harriettsville High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served in Vietnam. He was the Commander of VFW Post 4713 in McConnelsville. After retiring from the army, he enjoyed working for Huck & Sons Farm for many years.

Stanley will be deeply missed by children Jannie (Greg) Dearth, Stanley (Theresa) Bettinger, Elmer (Jackie) Bettinger, Martha (Melvin) Oliver and Allen Bettinger; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother Larry  Bettinger; sisters Laura Bond and Barbara Scott.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by brothers Charles and James Bettinger; sister Ramona Bettinger and nephew Timothy Bettinger.

Friends may call Tuesday, August 2^nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park, where military rites will be held.
