Susan Turner

Susan Mae Turner, 72, of Mount Vernon, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her home, in Mount Vernon.

Susan was born August 12, 1949, in Ashland, Ohio to Ted and Eileen {Haudenschild} Jones.

Susan was valedictorian of the class of 1967 at Mount Vernon High School.

She has been with her life companion and best friend, Henry “Pat” Underwood for over twenty-five years.

Susan worked in the banking field for many years in Mount Vernon, enjoying the challenging work and her customers. Her real joy was playing cards and marbles with her many friends, in Ohio and in their home in Florida.

Susan will be deeply missed by Pat; son Clint (Dana) Turner; many beloved cousins; dear friend Kathy (Roger) Yarman; and beloved dog Cleo.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather John Korns.

Friends may call Friday, June 17th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home- Mount Vernon Chapel, Mount Vernon.  Memorial and committal services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Matos officiating.  Burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
