Teresa Michelle Pauling Canfield, M.D. passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014, surrounded by her family and close friends. Teresa was born on March 27, 1968. She graduated salutatorian from Dexter High School, Missouri, Class of 1986. She graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, Class of 1990 with a dual major in Biology/Chemistry. Teresa graduated from the Medical College of Ohio, Class of 1995, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She pursued her residency through Marshall University at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, graduating in 1999. Teresa worked for the Cleveland Clinic Women's Health Center in Wooster, Ohio from September 1999 through October 2008, serving as Chair of the Department beginning in 2006. Teresa is survived by husband, Scott and children, Allison and Shane of Wooster, Ohio; parents, Mark and Margaret Pauling and sister, Angela Martin of Old Fort, Ohio; sisters, Meredith Hansen and Sheri Overmyer of Bellevue and Bettsville, Ohio, respectively; nieces, Melody and Brandie Hansen, Marah Overmyer, and Anna-Marie and Rachelle Martin; and nephew, Christian Overmyer.
Teresa will be dearly missed by family, friends, colleagues in the Wooster medical community, and her patients and their families throughout northeastern Ohio. Friends may call today (Saturday) from 11am to 1pm at the Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Private graveside services will be held at Foxfield Preserve with Rev. Randall L.
