Terrence "Terry" Olson

Terrence “Terry” W. Olson, 70, of Wooster, died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his residence after a period of declining health.

Terry was born September 20, 1948 in Allegan, Michigan to Earnest William and Marilyn May {Shaffer} Olson. His father passed away when he was one year old in an airplane accident. Terry spent his youth in Elgin, Illinois.

In 1960 he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and in 1965 joined the U.S. Navy. After receiving an honorable discharge, he joined his grandfather’s heating business in Battlecreek, Michigan. Terry studied hydronic engineering at IBR Institute and Michigan State.

In 1972 Terry moved to Wooster where he met his loving wife Elizabeth Ann Wakeham and daughter Marie and they married on September 7, 1976. In 1977 Terry and Elizabeth had a son Christopher William Olson.

In 1984 working hand in hand, Terry, Elizabeth, Marie and Christopher started Olson Heating & Cooling, Inc. In 2012 Elizabeth lost her life in a courageous battle with lung cancer. In 2016 Terry married his dear friend Susan Davis.

Terry will be deeply missed by his wife; children Christopher William (April) Olson of West Salem and Marie Antonia Gammon of Delaware; step-children Laura Davis of London, Julie (Joe) Dougherty of Wooster, Luke Davis of Tucson, AZ and Scott (Melissa) Davis of Wooster; grandchildren Maya Gammon, Lucas and Emma Olson; step-grandchildren Jaxson Davis; sisters Valerie (Bob) Powell of Salt Lake City, Carol (Jeff) Bougher of Rittman, Debbie (Kurt) Snyder of Denver, Iowa and Tammy (Jim) Woolston-Smith of Hebron, Kentucky.
