Thelma M. Hyatt, 91, of Ashland, passed away March 20, 2014 at Good Shepherd, in Ashland. Thelma was born February 12, 1923 in Ashland, Ohio. Daughter of Cleo (Warnes) Shonkwiler and Stepfather Evert. She married David Loyd Hyatt on September 11, 1939. David passed away December 27, 1995. They had been married for 56 years.
She enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show and Cleveland Indians.
Thelma will be deeply missed by her children Betty (Larry) Ickes of South Carolina, Danny (Karen) Hyatt of Ashland, Ohio and Darrel (Debbie) Hyatt of Texas, 13 grandchildren and numerous great children, brothers Evert (Mimi) and Dale Shonkwiler.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband David, daughter Eva, son-in-law Thurman, grandson Darcie and brother Paul.
Private services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel with Rev. Dr. Deborah Michaels officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
