Thelma McComas

Thelma J. McComas, 89, of Wooster, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. James McComas officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Thelma was born December 19, 1928 in Prichard, WV to Frank and Minnie {Michael} Gilkerson.

She married Rev. Claude McComas on September 27, 1946 in Louisiana, KY.
He passed away on September 9, 2003.

She worked for the Apple Creek Development Center. They attended the First Baptist Church in Wooster. She loved to crochet and read. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, and spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.

Thelma will be deeply missed by her daughter Linda (Ray) Coblentz of Apple Creek; grandchildren Timothy (Christy) Coblentz of Rittman and Rodney (Alice) Coblentz of Shreve; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Kimberly Coblentz, sisters Dolores Gilkerson and Dorothy Lycan, brothers James, Claude, Charles, Darvin and Herbert Gilkerson.
