Thomas Frederick James

Thomas Frederick James, 80, of Smithville, died November 4, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, in Wooster.

Thomas was born January 10, 1943 in Wooster, Ohio to Thomas Loren and Olive Vera {Daniels} James.

Thomas served in the Army National Guard from 1963 to 1969.

He married Connie Moser on June 6, 1970.

Thomas worked for Rubbermaid for over 23 years, and then he retired from the College of Wooster after 15 years. He attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Rittman. Thomas enjoyed fishing, cooking, and baking, making pies and pizza.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his wife Connie; son Steven (Bethany Hartman) James; grandson Anthony James; sisters Jeanie Daugherty, Mary Jo Minks; and sister-in-law Bonnie (Jack) Swartz.

Thomas was preceded in death by his son Michael James, his parents, and sister Patricia Burkhart.
