Thomas F. Kitchen Sr., 85, of Ashland, died Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Home.
Thomas was born November 14, 1926 in North Baltimore, Ohio to Virney Sr. and Mary (Mann) Kitchen. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Lillian Brothers on June 5, 1948. He worked for F.E. Myers for 33 years and then worked for A.L. Garber for 12 years before retiring in 1989. He enjoyed squaredancing with his wife, traveling and camping with his family.
Tom will be deeply missed by his children, Thomas Jr. (Deb) Kitchen, Dennis (Vickie) Kitchen, Lynn (Brian) LaRue, and Leesa (Doug) Walker, all of Ashland; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ellen Crowe of Alabama, Grace Coffman and Doris Lozier, both of Ashland; and a special nephew, James Copus of Ashland.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, brothers, Virney Jr., Allen, and Frankiln; sisters, Leah Copus and Gloria Lewis.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US Rte 250, with Tom's brother-in law, Rev. Jim Brothers officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Military rites will be presented by the Ashland County Joint Veterans Honor Guard.
