Todd S. Wheeler, 50, of Marietta, lost his battle to esophageal cancer surrounded by his loved ones on March 4, 2016 at James Cancer Center in Columbus.
He was born on August 5, 1965 in Marietta, son of Larry Sr. and Shirley Hill Wheeler. Todd was a 1983 graduate of MHS. On April 13, 1985 he married Debra Newlen.
He was a member of Laborer's Local #639 and was employed by Commonwealth Construction of New Hampshire. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and spending time at his river lot with his family, friends, and dogs.
Todd is survived by his wife Debra; his two sons Shawn Wheeler and Perry Wheeler (fiancé Lauren Ross) of Marietta; one daughter Jennifer (Jonny) Salyer of Marietta; four grandchildren Kennedy Wheeler of Waterford, Kase Wheeler of Parkersburg, Kane and Jade Salyer of Marietta; his mother Shirley of Reno; two brothers Larry (Roxanne) Wheeler Jr. of Marietta and Mike (Kris) Hill of Reno. Todd had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father Larry Sr., and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 8th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home – East Lawn Chapel, 27880 SR 7, Marietta 45750. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with calling hours also from 9 until the time of the service. Burial at East Lawn Memorial Park.
