Tom Insley Jr., 68, of Marietta, died January 15, 2016 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Tom was born August 16, 1947 in Hampton, Virginia to Harry Sr. and Hilda Insley.
He graduated high school from Poquoson High School in 1965.
He married Vicky on November 25, 1978.
Tom was a master plumber and longtime owner of Insley Plumbing before passing the business on to his son. He was a longtime member of Norwood United Methodist Church and was the chairman of the community Thanksgiving dinner. Tom was well known for restoring and showing classic muscle cars. He was also an avid card player. Tom will be remembered for his laughter and his infectious sense of humor.
Tom will be deeply missed by his wife Vicky; children Jonathan (Tiffany) Insley and Valerie Insley; granddaughter Payton Noel Insley; sister Patty Land
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Suzanne; stepfather Carl Trexler; and in-laws Glen and Patty Merckle.
Friends may call Monday, January 18th from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.
