Vernon E. Howell, 74, of Apple Creek, died Monday, November 30, 2015 at Aultman Orrville Hospital.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Friday at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Nate Holton officiating. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Heyl Road Church of Christ, 715 Heyl Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
Vernon was born February 23, 1941 in Woodsfield, Ohio to Andrew Jackson and Ova {Myers} Howell.
Vernon graduated from Woodsfield High School in 1959.
He married Patricia Ann Butzer on December 26, 1961.
He owned and operated Howell Heating and Cooling in Apple Creek for over 25 years. Vernon was a member of Heyl Road Church of Christ. He was an avid Archer and loved to shoot his bow.
Vernon will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years; children Bradley Dean (Mindy) Howell of Smithville, Rebecca Sue (Bill) Brown of Millersburg, Barry Andrew Howell of Apple Creek, Rachelle Leigh (Eric) Brown of NC, Benjamin John (Angie) Howell of Wooster; grandchildren Ashley, Jeremiah, Breanna, Jordan, Logan, Austin, Madison, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Cameron, Brooklyn; great-grandchildren Cadence, Alexis, Malia.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
