Vincent Gilbert

Vincent R. Gilbert, 90, of Wooster, died Saturday at LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster.

Vincent was born April 15, 1927 in Dover, Ohio to Ralph Hale Gilbert and Ora Tavy {Varnes Honabarger} Gilbert.

He served in the United States Army for 18 months in 1945-1946.

Vincent married Mary Lou Bowersock on January 28, 1950.  She passed on March 6, 2015.

He worked at Roy F. Martin Ford, and was a self employed mechanic.    Vincent enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and going to casinos.

He will be deeply missed by his children Frank (Linda) Gilbert of Fredericksburg, Fred (Peggy) Gilbert of Wooster, and Lori (Mark) Lehman of Wooster; grandchildren Ben (Lue) Gilbert, Ryan (London) Gilbert, Rebecca Gilbert, Charlie (Santana) Gilbert, Matthew (Ashley) Gilbert, John (Brandi) Gilbert, Nicole (Matt) Peters, and Jenn (Justin) Villers;  great-grandchildren Jenna, Tyler, Keith, Jaymes, Roman, Deacon, Jayson, McKenna, Annabelle, Zoey, and Maya Nicole;  brother Albert Delon; as well as several cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Vincent, was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and siblings

Alice Stough, Bernice Conley, Edgar, Ellen, Franklin, Cora Funk, Lester, Emma Honabarger Franks, and John Honabarger.
