Viola M. Woodruff, 88, of Wooster, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster.
Services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Wayne Giesler officiating. Friends may call Friday from 5-7 P.M. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Viola was born July 3, 1923 in Holmesville, OH to Harry C. and Edna M. {Hutchison} Ammon.
Viola enjoyed puzzles and wordbooks. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She married Robert Woodruff on January 31, 1945. He passed away in 1982.
Viola will be deeply missed by her children Gary (Sandy) of Wisconsin, Sharon (Chuck) Hinton of Wooster, Carol Sue Woodruff of Wisconsin, daughter in law Carol Jean Woodruff of Apple Creek; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, sisters Vietta Pyers of Millersburg and Maxine (Bill) Wall.
Viola was preceded in death by her son Galen, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
