Viola E. Zook, 83, of Wadsworth, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at Altercare of Wadsworth.
Vi was born January 27, 1933 in Sterling, Ohio to Edward and Nellie {River} Hughes.
She married Howard Zook Sr. on May 17, 1952.
Vi was a long time member of the Nazarene Church of Wadsworth. She was an avid reader, liked to go camping, loved to be around her family and friends, and was known for her smile and loving personality.
Vi will be deeply missed by her children LouAnn (John) Derhammer of Wadsworth, Howard Jr. (Judy) Zook of Medina, Lynda (Joe) Dennis of Brunswick, Lori Harshbarger of Akron; 7 grandchildren ; 11 great-grandchildren ; brother David Hughes of Barberton; sisters June Blevins of Wadsworth and Beulah Towler of Copley.
Vi was preceded in death by her husband, brother Don Hughes, and son in law Steve Harshbarger.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Raynard L. Martin officiating.
