Virginia Bretthauer

Virginia Marie Bretthauer, 96, of Wooster, went to be with her Lord Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Avenue at Wooster.

Virginia was born February 13, 1924 in West Unity, Ohio to Clair and Elsie {Bever} Beilharz.

She graduated from West Unity High School in 1943.

She married Maurice L. Bretthauer on July 16, 1944. He died March 19, 2017 after 73 years of marriage.

She was a farmer’s wife, worked as a secretary in the Williams County Auditor’s Office and was a Longaberger Consultant for 27 years. She was a member of the Church of the Cross UMC and was active in the West Unity Methodist Church until moving to the Wooster area in 1993. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, leading youth groups, caring for her grandchildren, playing scrabble and putting puzzles together.

Virginia will be deeply missed by her daughter Janet (Ronald) Borton of Wooster; grandchildren Jim (Sherri) Borton of Wooster, Tim (Jody) Borton of Swanton, OH, Janene (Erik) Graber of Carthage, TN, Harold Swain of Ashland; great-grandchildren Riley, Evin and Hudson Graber, Alex, Arianna, Hannah May, Luke ,Zeke, Jack, Adrienne, Ezra, Roman, Vinny, Ike and Levi Borton, Emma, Carlie, Megan and Ty Swain.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband and great-grandchild Samuel Borton.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Private services will follow at the funeral home with Reverend Kristen Patt officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Floral Grove Cemetery in West Unity, Ohio. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
