Virginia Mae Edwards, 87, of Wooster, died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at West View Healthy Living.
Services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice at 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
Virginia was born December 1, 1927 in Hartford, KY to Cecil and Leva {Beasley} Clark. She was delivered by her grandmother, Arzena Daugherty Beasley, in their family home.
She married Cecil "Jewell" Edwards on December 20, 1948. He passed on January 8, 1997.
Virginia worked at Rubbermaid before retiring from Mansfield Sanitary in 1980. She was a member of Apple Creek United Church of Christ. Virginia enjoyed gardening and reading. She loved to spend time with her family.
Virginia will be deeply missed by children Gary Edwards of Lakeville and David (Janette) Edwards of Wooster; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Roger (Linda) Clark of Wooster and Michael (Joni) Clark of Shreve; sister Linda (Robert) Mitchell of Orrville.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell, of 38 years, daughter Sandra Dutter, granddaughter Amy Dutter, brothers David "Pat" and Wendell Clark, sisters Wilma Jarvis and Betty Daugherty.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at West View Healthy Living and LifeCare Hospice for all of their tender, loving care.
