Wai was born February 21, 1929 in China to Wing Pui and Hing {Au Yeung} Lun.
He was a hard worker and eventually owned his own TV sales and repair business in Hong Kong. But in 1971 he moved his family to America in hope for a better future. Wai became a technician for Sun TV and Appliances in Columbus, Ohio to support his family. Through his financial sacrifice he put his 3 children through college, graduate school and medical school. After retirement, he moved to Florida where he enjoyed saltwater fishing and growing exotic fruit plants. Many times his family enjoyed receiving his fish and fruits in the mail. In 1999 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior during a visit to his son's family in Wooster in 2000 and was baptized the same year. In 2007 he moved to Wooster to be closer to his family. He attended West Hill Baptist Church until he became homebound.
Wai will be deeply missed by children Amy (Ben) Hu of North Royalton, Saiman (Philu) Lun of Centerville, and Lapman (Ching Ching) Lun of Orrville; grandchildren David, Tiffany, Rebecca, Matthew, Justin, Jonathan, Jeremy, and Abigail; brother Charm Yuen Lun of Texas; sisters Rong Chi, Rong Ai, Rong Nga, and Rong Lui Lun of China; friends Lin, Dorean, and George.
