Wanda Acord

Wanda E. Acord, 88, of Wooster, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at The Avenue at Wooster.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at West Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Fairhurst and Dan Wingate officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Wanda was born May 11, 1930 in Fairfield, IL to William R. and Theodosia E. {Hudspeth} Conway.

She married James Acord on June 9, 1951.  He passed away November 16, 1992.

Wanda worked at Diebold Manufacturing and then retired from the OARDC. She was a member of West Hill Baptist Church and the Caleb’s Kin.

Wanda will be deeply missed by her children James Robert (Susan Shie) Acord and Gary William Acord both of Wooster, Charles Frederick (Jackie) Acord of Sagamore Hills, Karen Renee (Darrell) Oswald of Wooster; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Carrol G. Garrison.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, sisters Ida Maud Conway, Artie (Dewy) McClannahan, Mary A. (John) Crawford, Ruth E. (Milton Wayne) Vining, Wanita M. Garrison, brother Maurice Conway, great-grandchild Kazzmir Robinson.
