Wayne E. Scaggs, 59, of Massillon, died July 21, 2013 at the Laurels of Canton, in Canton.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 3 P. M. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 2-3 P.M. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Wayne was born November 3, 1953 in Akron, Ohio to Alvin and Hazel (Richards) Scaggs.
He served in the United States Marines. Wayne was a truck driver for 26 years. He enjoyed landscaping and working on his truck. Wayne was a member of the DAV and VFW.
Wayne will be deeply missed by his son Wayne E. Scaggs II of Massillon and step-son Kevin Landis; brother Bill (Betty Ann) Humphreys of Massillon, sisters Edith (Richard) Speegle of Wooster, Diana (Thomas) Sartin of Little Birch, W.VA, numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Steve and Glenn Robert, niece Tracey Lynn and nephew Ethan Cole.
