Wayne Townsend

Wayne H. Townsend, 95, of Medina, died Thursday, November 01, 2018 at The Avenue, in Medina.

Wayne was born February 14, 1923 in Rochester, New York to George and Hilda {Anderson} Townsend.

Wayne served as a US Marine during WWII in the South Pacific.

He married Connie Sestito on December 6, 1946.

Wayne worked in construction building houses and cabinets. He was a founding member of the Medina Squares as well as a member of the Carpenters Union. He was an artist and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Wayne will be deeply missed by his wife; daughters Linda (Gerald) Boardman of Hinkley and Coleen (Bill) Helsley of Beloit; grandchildren Daniel (Carrie) Nunnari, Tony (Heather) Koorey and Jessica Koorey; great-grandchildren Nathan Nunnari, Lizzie Koorey and Anson Schwegmann; sisters Jane and JoAnne.

Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers Del and Colin.
