William (Bill) Harold Yancer

William “Bill” Harold Yancer, 82, of Ashland, died Monday, September 4, 2023 at his residence.

Bill was born May 9, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Gwendolyn {Rafferty} Yancer.

He graduated from Westlake High School. He served in the US Navy.

He married Jean Norton on February 23, 1963. She survives.

Bill worked for Gran Cal Inc. for 30 years. He enjoyed collecting old cars.

Bill will be deeply missed by his wife; children Robert Yancer of Ashland, Joanne (James) Jacobs of Ashland; grandchildren Christopher (Ruth), Justice, Colton, Nick (Alyssa), and Mitch; great-grandson Lincoln; brothers Bob (Norma), Terry (Karen); sister Shirley Lidyard.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sister Kathleen.

Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel will be assisting the family. Private services will be held. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
