William E. Brooks, 80, of Wooster, died May19, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital.

William was born August 24, 1932 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Earl R. and M. Esther {Gray} Brooks.
William attended Colorado College, where he received a Bachelors of Arts and Business Administration and Banking. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
William married Marcie A. Pitzer on March 19, 1955.
He was Self Employed consultant and was employed by Astro Metallurgical Corp. for 12 years, retiring in 1994. William was a member of several Barbershop Quartets; winning a national championship with the Silvertones. He enjoyed golfing, was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles.
William will be deeply missed by his wife, Marcie; children, Alan M. Brooks of Hartville, Pamela F. Brooks of Seville, and Steven E. Brooks of West Salem; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles E. Brooks of Burbank, CA., Robert N. Brooks of Pacoima, CA.; sister, Mary E. Adams of Loveland, CO.
William was preceded in death by his parents.
