William F. Columbo Sr., 91, of Wooster, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Friends may call Friday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
He was born February 8, 1922 in Dillonvale, Ohio.
William married Lula (DeWeese) on September 29, 1942.
He worked at Timken for 25 years and retired in 1984. He was a member of the Country Western International Square Dancers (Gnat Boxers). William enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, collecting at flea markets, but most of all, ballroom and square dancing with his wife. He was always there for his family and friends whenever they needed him.
William will be deeply missed by his wife, Lula of 71 years; children Frank (Tracy) Columbo of Wooster and John (Judy) Columbo of Florida; grandchildren Allison Columbo of Wooster, Jeanna (Less) Morris and Derek (Rose) Columbo both of Loudonville; great-grandchildren Cody and Nate Morris of Loudonville.
