William "Bill" C. Miller, 85, of Wooster, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Smithville-Western Care Center, after battling Parkinson's and dementia.
Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Bishop officiating. Bill was born April 25, 1931 in Holmes County to Henry and Famie {Roach} Miller.
He graduated from Nashville High School in 1950. Bill served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Iceland.
He married Dorothy M. Hunter on May 2, 1954. She passed away on October 14, 2010.
Bill retired from Quality Castings after 47 years. During this time he also did custodial work at Church of the Cross for 34 years. He was a member of Church of the Cross. Bill enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
Bill will be deeply missed by his children Gerald Miller of Wooster, Karen (Fred) King of Smithville and Greg (Rachel) Miller of Orrville; grandchildren Kelly (Brandon) Green, Melissa (Jim) Euga, April Davis, Renea (Josh) Hess and Jeremy King; great-grandchildren Carson, Dylan, Lillian, Natalie, Miley, Zoey, Caleb, MacKenzie, Madisyn; and a sister Evelyn Chase.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, brothers Russell, Glenn and Tom Miller.
