Winifred D. Weaver, 92, of Wadsworth, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Altercare of Wadsworth.
Winifred was born September 8, 1922 in Milton, WV to Herbert and Mary {Edwards} Chapman.
She married James Robert Weaver on June 3, 1939. He passed on January 22, 1996.
Winifred worked at Barefoot Sole Company for over 22 years. She was a member of the Wadsworth Church of the Nazarene. Winifred enjoyed being outside and in her garden. She was a dedicated bingo player and never missed a game. Winifred loved watching and cheering on the Cleveland Indians.
Winifred will be deeply missed by children Mary "Susie" Varney and Terry L. (Sharon) Weaver; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, James, of 55 years, son James Richmond Weaver, granddaughter Sandra Lynn Weaver, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Stanley Ward officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wadsworth Church of the Nazarene at P.O. Box 124, Wadsworth, OH 44282.
