Wright H. Culbertson, 94, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster.
Graveside services with military honors will be Monday at 2pm at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Wright was born May 15, 1923 in Wooster to Frank Hugh and Eva May {Markel} Culbertson. He graduated from Wooster High School in 1941, earned his Eagle Scout, and served in the US Army in the South Pacific during WWII.
He married Lucile Hay in 1950. He then married Mary Jane Arnold in 1960. They both survive.
Wright was an agent for Nationwide Insurance for 35 years, retiring in 1985.
Wright was a life member of the First Church of God, life member of the American Legion Post 68, VFW Post 1081, AM Vets, the 555th Honors Detachment, and Shriners.
Wright will be deeply missed by his wife Mary Jane; children Steve Culbertson of Wooster and Sally (Randy) Holbrook of Doylestown, stepchildren Carol Sherwin of Creston, John (Pat) Arnold of Wooster; grandchildren Trin, Matthew, Erin, Alyssa, Sarah, Jon, and Judy; 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother Neil of Wooster.
Wright was preceded in death by brother Robert and grandson Christopher.
