Yvonne Marie Baker, 48, of Wooster, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at LifeCare Hospice surrounded by her loving family.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Nick Amster Workshop, 1700 Old Mansfield Rd, Wooster, OH 44691.
Yvonne was born February 16, 1968 in Wooster, Ohio to Robert and Betty {Ernst} Baker.
She graduated from Wooster High School in 1986.
Yvonne was a bus driver for Nick Amster Workshop/ Ida Sue School for a number of years, then Meals on Wheels. She then was a manager of three group homes for 12 years before starting Caring Haven INC. in 2010. Yvonne was a first/aid and CPR instructor for the Red Cross and behavior support instructor for parents with children who had autism. She was a home for all wounded and stray animals.
Yvonne will be deeply missed by her children Allen Smith, Kady (Richard) Jenkins, Jesse Smith and Lyndsey Smith all of Wooster; step-daughter Ashley Bozzelli of West Salem, as well as five foster children and numerous children from the community; grandchildren Jason and Lincoln Jenkins; father Robert A. Baker of Wooster; brothers Paul (Rhonda) Baker of Knox County, Robert L. Baker of Wooster; many cousins and other extended family.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother Betty Baker, granddaughter Rhiannon Jenkins.
