Zelda Kessler

April 4, 1948 — September 18, 2016

James Roy Kessler, 67, and Zelda Jane Kessler, 68, of Hansford, West Virginia passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 18, 2016 due to an automobile accident.
James "Jim" was born February 21, 1949 in Montgomery, West Virginia to Roy B. and Elsie (Brown) Kessler.
Zelda "Jane" was born April 4, 1948 in Grantsville, West Virginia to Ray and Evelyn (Roberts) Sampson.
Jim and Jane were married on April 29, 1989 in Summersville, West Virginia.
Jim was a welder for most of his life. He was a life long church member, Gospel singer and songwriter with the Fishermen Quartet. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Jane worked at Revlon for 18 years in the warehouse as a Quality Control Inspector. She was also a life long church member and Gospel singer. In her spare time she loved to sew, crochet and spend time with her grandchildren.
Jim and Jane will be deeply missed by their children Donald (Darlene) Frost of Wadsworth, OH and Hollie (Jason) Ott of Louisburg, NC; grandchildren Byron Joyner, Brandon Frost, Ryan Frost, Shane Ott, and Payton Ott; Jim's siblings Larry Kessler, Joe Kessler, and George Kessler, Pat Hambrick, Sue Kincaid, and Kathy Thomas; Jane's siblings Merle Sampson and Monna Rice.
Jim and Jane were preceded in death by their parents and several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel 9560 Acme Road, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
