Alan F. Fenton, 55, of Wooster, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at his residence. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday at 3:00 pm at Grace Brethren Church, Wooster with Pastor Robert Fetterhoff officiating. ?Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery. ?Friends may call Saturday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the church. ?Arrangements are being handled by Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.

Alan was born October 8, 1951 in Cobourg, Ontario to Allan Gordon and Stephanie Ellen (Woodley) Fenton. ?He earned a B.A. from Colgate University where he was on the varsity hockey team. ?He then earned his MBA from the University of Western Ontario. ?He married Jennifer Greathouse on May 18, 2007.
He worked for GM in Canada, Akron Brass and finally was the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for Will-Burt. He also served on the Board of Directors for Nick Amster Workshop. ?He attended Grace Brethren Church. ?A lifetime athlete he enjoyed playing and coaching hockey. ?Alan brought his passion for hockey to Wooster where he was integral in the development of the hockey program. ?Alan will be deeply missed by his wife, children Jill and Eric Fenton and Jacob and Alison Greathouse, his parents of Coburg, Ontario, sisters Ann (Scott) Young of Port Hope, Ontario and Eve (Gary) Rusaw of Colborne, Ontario.
