Albert G. DiOrio III, 43, of Phoenix, AZ, died unexpectedly at his residence in Hawaii, where he was working. ?Because of his love for the ocean, his wishes were to have his remains scattered over the Pacific Ocean. ?A private family service will be held at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster to celebrate his life. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.
He was born February 21, 1963 in Wooster to Albert Jr. and Linda (Poe) DiOrio. ?
He attended Wooster High School, Glendale Community College and graduated from Arizona State University Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science.
Albert loved animals and nature and was a world traveler. ?His travels took him to Alaska, the Amazon Rain Forest, Peru, the Galapagos Islands, Belize, and Hawaii to name a few.
He is survived by his father, sisters Samantha (Jim) Lefor of Piedmont, SD and Patricia DiOrio of Wooster; brother Jeffrey of Wooster; grandmother Clara DiOrio of Wooster, his loving companion Maggie Spears of Phoenix, AZ, stepmother Shirley Campbell of Wooster and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandfather Albert DiOrio Sr.
Albert's family is very proud of his hard work and what he accomplished in his studies to help save our environment. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
