Alice Marie Keefer, 74, of Rittman died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at her residence. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24 at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth, with Pastor Jeff Ball officiating. Friends may call Friday (today) from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. She was born July 6, 1931 in Chilhowie, VA to William J. and Roxie (Suits) Shelton. She married Robert Keefer on June 6, 1953. He survives. She served in the Women?s Army Corps and was retired from Barberton Citizens Hospital after 35 years of service. She enjoyed camping, cross-stitching, traveling, bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Robert, daughters Debbie (Bob) Miller of Rittman, Kim Keith of Orrville, Robyn (Jack) Skraba of Wadsworth; grandchildren Steven Miller and girlfriend Shannon, Joshua Miller and fianc? Jennifer Slone, Christopher (Angela) Keith, Brandon Keith and girlfriend Brandi Crum, Ashley Keith, Benjamin McMillan, Raven & Hailey Skraba; great grandchildren Willow Anne Marie Miller and Caden Crum; brothers William (Martha) Shelton, Frank (Bonnie) Shelton, Edward (Elaine) Shelton; sisters Buelah Vannoy, Susie (Johnny) Wymer, Carol McVeigh, and Libby (Rick) Blevins; her camping and bingo buddies of Shawnee Lake Campground in Spencer; and her dogs Mocha and Rocky.
Her parents and a sister Ruth preceded her in death.
