Berl Gene “Red” Moore, 79, of Lodi, died Sunday, July 5 at Smithville Western Care Center in Smithville. He was born December 18, 1929 in Bellington, W.Va. to Lee and Geneva Althea (Price) Moore. Berl was a US Army veteran serving in Germany. He married Evelyn Adams on January 26, 1951. Berl had been an employee of GM in Parma for 331/2 years, retiring in 1987 and he enjoyed wood working, cabinet crafting and traveling all over the USA.
Berl will be deeply missed by his wife Evelyn, children Debbie (Doug) McClure of Lodi, Barbara J. Moore of Norwalk, Wayne (Becky) Moore of Creston, Lorne (Jeanette) Moore of Lodi, grandchildren Nicholas (Carrie) Moore, Candy McClure, Chad (Jamie) Moore, Steven McClure, Jason Moore, sister Lenora (Warren) Bush of Parma Heights, plus 4 sisters in West Virginia, and extended family Mason, Colin, Taylor, Nichole and Jim. His mother, father, two sisters and one brother preceded Berl.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 8 at 11:00 am at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Seville, with Pastor Eshelman officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be conducted. Friends may call Tuesday, July 7 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
