Bessie “Betty” May Needham, 77, of Shreve died Saturday, January 09, 2010 at her residence with her family by her side.Memorial services will be held Monday at 11am at the Shreve United Methodist Church with Rev. William D. Lawson officiating.Online tributes may be made at

Betty was born December 30, 1932 in Winthrop, MA to Albert and Verna {Glover} Cole.She was a great-granddaughter to 4-star General Davis, decorated war hero.
Betty was a member of Fall River Baptist Temple Church in Fall River, MA and attended Shreve United Methodist Church.She moved to Shreve 10 years ago and embraced the people, volunteering for Meals-On-Wheels for 9 years, serving noon meals at the Shreve Villas, and monthly dinners at the church.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children Michael (Wendy) Needham of Dacula, GA, Sharon (Joe) Fumia of Bloomfield, NJ and John L. Needham of Thonotosassa, FL; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister Priscilla.
Betty was preceded in death by a son Christian Douglas Needham and a grandson Jason Needham.
