Bessie I. Young, 83, of Aurora and formerly of Wooster, died Tuesday October 27, 2009 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.Memorial services will be November 28, 2009 at 11:00am at the Church Of The Saviour with the Rev. Durham officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel is handling the arrangements.Online tributes may be made at

Bessie was born on November 4, 1925 in Orrville to Harry and Grace (Burkholder) Lehman.She married Donald Young on February 8, 1946.He died in 2001.
She worked as a bookkeeper at her husband’s business Lowe and Young.She was a memberof the Church of the Saviour.She loved cooking, playing cards and was a den mother andserved in the Apple Creek PTA.
Bessie will be deeply missed by her children Steve of Clinton, SandyShahdad of Richardson,Texas, Gary (Alice) Young of Pittsburgh, Pa.,Ron (Mary Lou) Young of Aurora and David Young of Wooster; grandchildren Sara Shahdad-Jourdan, Patrick, Sean, Jonathan, Jaclyn and Derek Young;a brother Doyle Lehman of Orrville, sisters Verla Barber of Denver, CO and LaVonne Franks of Wooster.
She is preceded in death by her husband, brother Roland Lehman and sister Opal Richwine.
