Betty Gagean

Yet another angel received into heaven, Betty Irene (Hanson) Gagean, 71, of Wadsworth, died Monday, December 21 at Hospice Care Center in Akron. She was born January 3, 1938 in Beverly, Ohio to Arthur III and Ruth (Flesher) Hanson. Betty married John L. Gagean; he preceded her in death on March 12, 2007. She had been employed with Norandex in Bedford and retired from Valspar in Medina. She was a member of Cuyahoga Falls Moose.



Betty will be deeply missed by children Diana Coleman, Paul W. (Judi) Gagean of Rittman, Jo Ellen Mika of Wadsworth, Grandchildren Jennifer Mika of Wadsworth, Jessica Gagean, U.S. Army, Fort Hood, TX. John W. Gagean, U.S. Army, Rittman, great-grandchild Joseph Nathaniel Bartoe, sisters Yvonne Casto of Akron, Pauline (Gene) Strong of Norton, Linda (Bill) Bowen of Columbus, and Joy (Gary) Olson of Akron. Husband John, son Billy Bridges, and sister Shelby Hanson preceded Betty in death.



The family will receive friends at Middlebury Chapel at 82 South Arlington Street, Akron, Ohio 44306 on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. for the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Middlebury Chapel. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com .
