Betty Hendrix, 85, of Wooster died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg.
She was born January 18, 1925 in Holmes County to Ernest L. and Vera Marie {Bevington} Yockey.
She married Lewis Hendrix on August 7, 1943.He died on May 9, 1969.
Betty worked for the Wooster Brush Company for 24 years, retiring in 1987.
She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and traveling to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed gardening, mushrooming hunting and working in her flower beds.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children Linda Kosier, Edward (Debra) Hendrix all of Shreve and daughter-in-law Linda of Wooster,7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sisters Helen Taggert and Patsy Price both of Wooster.
In addition to her husband Lewis, Betty was preceded in death by a son Daniel Hendrix, grandson David Scott Kosier, great-grandson Gage Schlauch, brothers Curtis, Dale, Donald, and Elmer Yockey and sisters Florence Francisco, Mona Yockey and Mary Jane Pitman.
Services will be Monday at noon at the Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
