Betty Stanford

Elizabeth “Betty” J. Stanford, 85, Wooster, died Sunday, November 08, 2009, at Westview Manor in Wooster. Service of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Fr. Steve Moran officiating. Friends may call one hour prior at the funeral home. Betty was born June 1, 1924, in Wooster, Ohio to Domenic and Agnes (Gentile) Santare. Betty married Duane M. Stanford on May 4, 1943. He died June 21, 2005.She worked for International Paper Company and then for the Wooster High School in the cafeteria. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


She will be deeply missed by son and daughter-in-law, Richard (Joan) Stanford of Orrville, Roger (Deb) Stanford of Canton, daughter Beverly Yoder of Chattanooga, TN., five grandsons, and seven great-grandchildren.


In addition to her husband Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Adeline Blair, Marcella Lower and Jacqueline Premer and a brother Edward Santare.
