Betty Jean Watts, 76, of Rittman went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 5, 2008 at her daughter’s residence in Rittman with her family by her side.Services will be Saturday at 1:00PM at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Rev. John Castle officiating.Friends may call Friday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Betty Jean was born November 29, 1931 in Huntington, West Virginia.She was the daughter of Charles C. “Bub” and Hester (McAlister) McCaffrey.She graduated from Barboursville Jr. High.She married William A. Watts, Jr. on April 25, 1958.He died January 20, 2006.
She moved to Rittman in 1959.She retired as a waitress from Country Pride restaurant in Seville.She was an active member of Rittman Community Freewill Baptist Church.She enjoyed bingo and loved to read and write.
Betty will be deeply missed by children Janet Lynne (Johnny) Thornton of Winchcombe, England, Robert (Victoria) Thomasson of Camden, New York, Tawnya Gayle (Wolf) Pack-Blankenship of Rittman and Steven Jay (Trina) Watts of Canton, grandchildren Aaron (Ronda) Freeman, Tim Pack, James (Emily) Pack, Amanda Pack, Steven Kurtis and Felisha Watts, Jayson Watts, Heather Van Zile, Ron (Maureen) Halliwell, Julie LaBrie, David (Kim) Thornton, Vicky (Charlie) Thornton, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, brothers Larry McCaffrey and Bob (Barb) McCaffrey, her bestest sister Mary Ethel Ferguson, beloved Aunt Mae Parsons, sisters-in-laws Dora Faye Carey and Eloise LaMar, long-time friends Cecil and Wanda Thompson and Mel and Bonnie Britton and their families.
Betty Jean winged her way to heaven to join her beloved husband Junior, her parents, son Richard Paul Watts, baby boy Billy Thomasson, grandson Joseph Alderson Watts and very close friend Mae Sloan.
