Catherine M. Beam, 89, of Wooster, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at her residence.
Services will be Friday, April 15, 2011 at 11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.Inurnment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.Online tributes may be made at

She was born May 16, 1921 in Randolph, Ohio to Charles and Rose (Bambeck) Rothermel.
She married Donald D. Beam on July 17, 1955.He survives.
Catherine enjoyed playing euchre, loved nature, her grandchildren and gambling. She was a Wooster Automobile Club tour guide and worked at Lowry Center at the College of Wooster.
Catherine will be deeply missed by children Donald G. (Miriam) Beam of Holmesville, Joan Marie (Michael) Clark of Shreve, and Rick (Pat) Davis of Ashland , Oregon, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 10 brothers and sisters and a son.
