Cathy Iola Dennis Matzelle, 81, of Wooster, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at West View Manor, in Wooster.
Cathy was born Iola Mae Dennis on September 24, 1929 in Somersville, PA to Arthur and Loretta {Belvin} Dennis. She changed her name to Cathy prior to her marriage to Joe Matzelle on February 6, 1981.
Cathy enjoyed fishing, bingo and traveling. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Cathy will be deeply missed by her husband; children Debbie (Brian) Homan of Akron, Linda (Tom) Cowen of Akron, Gary DelSavio of Akron, Kevin DelSavio of Akron, Gia (David) Schlabaugh of Florida, Jennifer (Issa) DelSavio-Abu al Habil; many grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Art Dennis; sisters Jean, Bonnie, Deloris, Janice.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Darlene Palamakkii, brother Jimmy, sister Sandy.
Services will be held Saturday July 30, 2011 at 11 am at West View Manor Chapel in Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.
