Charles Ball

Charles R "Charlie" Ball, 65, of Genoa WV, formerly of Wadsworth, died Monday, April 16 at Hospice House in Huntington WV. Charlie was born October 29, 1941 in Slagle, WV to Walter and Adaline (Riggs) Ball. He graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1959 and served in the US Navy. He was married to Minnie Ann Thomas and she survives in Wadsworth. He then married Cheryl Lindeman on May 23, 1985. She survives in Genoa, WV. He worked for Firestone Bank, NCR in Ohio and retired from Applied Card Systems in Huntington, WV. He was a member of Wadsworth American Legion, Eagles, and enjoyed working on the computer.

Charlie will be deeply missed by his wife Cheryl, children Treasa (Curtis) Lamb of Wadsworth, Charles Martin Ball of Phoenix, AZ, William (Jennifer) Tippett of Long Island, NY, Jennifer Ball of Huntington WV, Julia Ball of Huntington, WV, grandchildren Molly and Ian Lamb, one expected granddaughter, brothers Walter Ball of Summerfield, FL, Gary Ball of Wadsworth, David (Donna) Ball of Jacksonville, FL, Larry (Celeste) Ball of Sweetwater, TN, sister Lois Bennett and companion Bill Jacobs of FL., and many members of his extended family. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
