Charles Billy Hodge, 74, of Wooster went home to be with the Lord Friday November 16, 2007 at his residence in Wooster. ?Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Dennis L. Martin officiating. ?Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held. Billy was born April 13, 1933 in Branchland, West Virginia to Henry Haywood and Myrtle Melinda (Swanson) Hodge. ?He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. ?He married Phyllis Chaney on December 21, 1956. He worked for GM for seventeen and a half years until his retirement in 1987. ?He attended the First Baptist Church of Brunswick. ?He was a lifetime member of Brunswick VFW Post 9520. ?Billy enjoyed spending time with his dog Poochie.
Billy will be deeply missed by his wife Phyllis, daughter Phyllis Jean (Butch) Stroup of Apple Creek, grandchildren Aaron Charles Stroup of Brunswick, Rebecca Lynne Stroup of Apple Creek, brother Ishmel (Lula) Hodge of Milton, West Virginia and several nieces and nephews. ?Billy was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Eugene and Donald, sisters Normal Roy, Orpha Frye, and Mabel Cummings.
